Tattling vs. Telling Digital Interactive Lesson
Raise your hand if you've ever had one of those days (or weeks... or years lol) where your class just cannot understand the concept of tattling! ME! That's why I created this resource for you to set the tone for the year with your expectations with tattling right off the bat. This resource goes along with the book "Don't Squeal Unless it's a Big Deal" and includes digital and printable components. There are google slides you can project on your smart board where students will look at tattling vs. telling examples. They will decide if each statement is a tattle or a report. They will drag the green check or the red "X" to the box, reveal the correct answer. There are tattling vs. telling worksheets, posters, flip books, and writing paper at your fingertips to start the year off on a clear note with the tattling issue. This is also a great resource to pull out if your class needs a refresher mid year!

2. Teaching Tools

Phonics and Math Focus Wall Lesson
When I taught Kindergarten, I wanted to come up with a way to do a daily reteach of Kindergarten number sense, sight words, and letters and sounds. After reflecting on the previous year, I knew this was necessary, but I didn’t exactly know how I was going to do it. I looked everywhere and I couldn’t seem to find what I needed, so I decided to create one myself.
I absolutely loved using this in my classroom that year. There is something about building repetition and muscle memory in a daily number-of-the-day routine as well as reviewing sight words and sounds. By the end of the year, I saw drastic growth in my class from this 10 minute routine we started at the beginning of the year. This focus wall can be used on your classroom bulletin boards or white boards. From math concepts and shapes to sight words and letter sounds, this focus wall product has everything you need to teach/review concepts! If you'd like to read more about this resource in detail, you can visit my blog post about this focus wall.

Neutral Classroom Calendar Set
Are you looking for a fresh, modern look to add a serene feeling to your calendar corner? I feel you, friend! In past years, I had used a bright and colorful calendar set each morning with my Kindergarten friends, and don’t get me wrong… I LOVE color! However, I was moving from Kindergarten to teach K-5 ESL, and I wanted something that could be an age appropriate display for all ages.
This neutral classroom calendar set will be a perfect way to teach months of the year, days of the week, seasons, and weather! Especially when it comes to that basic vocabulary for your English Language Learners. You could set up this calendar in a pocket chart, on a bulletin board, or you could use magnetic strips to put it together on your white board. Simply print, cut, laminate, and go! If you’re anything like me and love to have all of your decor matching, these might just be the perfect resource for you. This includes editable take home folder covers, writing folder covers, seat sack name tags, and cubby name tags. Directions for finding and using the same fonts are included in this resource.
